There are many things that must happen (neurological and environmental) for hearing impaired children to develop proper literacy and reading skills.  If you would like to know more about this, please attend a 1-day workshop at The University of Texas at Austin.

The main speaker will be Kathryn Wilson, M.A., CCC-SLP, LSLS Cert. AVT (Speech-Language Pathologist & Auditory-Verbal Therapist).  Kathryn is a teacher at The University of North Carolina, and has been practicing therapy for over 30 years. She is a national speaker in the field of Auditory-Verbal Therapy, and teaches classes for professionals working on their AVT certification.
