Hello! My name is Laurel Hlista.  I am the daughter of Ann Hlista, who helped put together the CI support group meetings.  I have been a cochlear implant user since July 2008.  I've made a lot of progress and so far I'm happy with the results!  I recently found some online seminars for implant users via the www.cochearcommunity.com website.  I would strongly suggest listening to these live seminars as they are very informative and helpful.  Today, I listened to the "Talk to me!" seminar and this session provided a lot of information about how to overcome phone phobia, rehabilitation tips, phone devices and gadgets,...etc.  http://www.audiologyonline.com/ceus/livecoursedetails.asp?pid=6&class_id=11686 . 
Support our CI users and keep our community alive by participating in these meetings and networking with other users.
